This unique event brought together fusion energy companies, supply chain stakeholders, and investors from across the globe to network and discuss potential collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KF hosted an exclusive spin-off tour at our R&amp;D facility, <a href=\"https:\/\/kyotofusioneering.com\/kfwp\/en\/news\/2023\/09\/14\/1808\">the Kyoto Research Centre (KRC)<\/a>, after the event on 17 October. The group\u2019s first stop was the Naka Institute for Fusion Science and Technology, a part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qst.go.jp\/site\/qst-english\/\">the National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST)<\/a>, where they explored the cutting-edge facilities that are part of major international initiatives, including the JT-60SA Project and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iter.org\/\">ITER Project<\/a>. International visitors got an up-close look at fusion research in Japan\u2014a rare opportunity for many.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tour continued with a stop at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faradaygroup.com\/en\/\">Faraday Factory Japan<\/a>, home to groundbreaking superconducting coil technology, in the afternoon. Visitors experienced firsthand the seamless interplay of research and industrialization at this cutting-edge facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Onward to Kyoto: An Exclusive Look at UNITY-1<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FusionXInvest experience culminated with a visit to our R&amp;D facility, Kyoto Research Centre (KRC), on 17 October. The tour began with a presentation by Kiyoshi Seko, our COO, who gave an overview of KF\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following this, Colin Baus, our Vice President of Plant Technology, dove into the technical innovations underpinning UNITY-1. He provided an in-depth explanation on the fusion thermal cycle systems that UNITY-1 is designed to demonstrate\u2014a breakthrough expected to accelerate the progress of fusion energy R&amp;D. A particular highlight was the liquid metal loop, designed to extract and transport heat at temperatures reaching up to 1000\u00b0C.
