Our Research and Development work took a major leap forward in January with the opening of our new R&D hub in Heiwajima, Tokyo, located within the “Tokyo Ryutsu Center.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside this expansion, we moved our global headquarters to this new site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this post, we\u2019ll walk you through our new office space, highlighting the concept behind its design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Thoughtfully Designed Office Area<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFlexibility & Sustainability\u201d are the two key concepts central to our new office design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall layout can be easily and flexibly reconfigured as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have incorporated refurbished office furniture and selected sustainable and environmentally friendly flooring and wall materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Spaciously Designed with the Future in Mind<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve ensured ample space in our work areas so that new members have their own space as our team grows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support a hybrid work environment, we\u2019ve also equipped the office with multiple meeting rooms and individual work booths, making it easy to balance in-person and remote collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Designed for Comfort and Productivity<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the center of our workspace, we\u2019ve placed casual bench-style seating\u2014perfect for quick discussions and informal team interactions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of our team members even have lunch here, fostering a collaborative and friendly vibe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those doing deep work, we\u2019ve designated quiet spaces, complete with standing desks and dual monitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these multiple set-ups, members can work productively in a way that fits their working style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. A Touch of Japan in Our Meeting Rooms<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our meeting rooms incorporate design elements inspired by Kyoto\u2019s four seasons\u2014a tribute to Japanese aesthetics and to the company\u2019s roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facility Tour for Employees<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hosted a special office tour for our employees before officially relocating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone could check out progress made on the overall construction and hear more about our fusion fuel cycle system and ongoing research from our engineering team. It was a great opportunity to learn about our development milestones and future plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With our members now working together in one site, we are more committed than ever to deliver on the early promise of fusion energy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
